Council 499 is an active council when it comes to activities,
Monthly activities in which the Council members participate include:
- Assisting our fellow Knights, their families, and members of the parish
- Assisting with requests made by local priests
- Assisting with collections at Mass
- Fundraising for St. Mary's RC School, Gosport.
- Taking part in local Council and National action projects.
In addition several of the Knights are active Eucharistic Ministers.
Annual activities of the Knights:
- Memorial Mass for our deceased members in Portsmouth Cathedral
- Council Dinner, and Provincial functions.
- Council 499 distributes Christmas and Easter Posters each year to churches in Portsmouth, Havant, Gosport, Lee-on-The-Solent and Stubbington.
In November 2007 Council 499 raised ?350 towards the refurbishment of the playground in St. Mary's School,

This year Bro. Bill Feltham has built a new crib which has been erected outside St. Mary's Church in Gosport High Street.
This crib is dedicated to the memory of Bro.Bob Barry who built the original crib which was used for 45 years.
